The Thanksgiving Plan

This will probably be the only time this year I am THANKFUL for snow. It's supposed to snow and sleet and ice and gross weather stuff on Thanksgiving Day here in Civilization which took care of my Thanksgiving plans. Everywhere I was invited is far away from me so I'm not going to any of them because "of the weather." And I'm not going to Guard and Booknut's because I don't want to. Gee, bummer, that I'm staying home- NOT!

Daddy-O and I went to the grocery store and got stuff to make a mini Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, ham steaks with pineapple glaze, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, sweet potatoes in brown sugar sauce, pumpkin pie, and appetizers of shrimp cocktail and cucumber sandwiches on rye bread.

I'm gonna watch the Macy's Parade, eat in the early afternoon, drink sangria until I pass out and call that a nap. Upon wakefulness, I'm gonna grab a turkey sandwich and hit the movie theater. I won't have to worry about driving since Mac is officially old enough to schlep me, and himself, around.

Daddy-O decided not to go anywhere so I think the only down side is that I won't be wearing my pajamas all day!

Happy Turkey Day to me!
Maggie

Dang so wanted you to come with me but understand. And why can't you lounge in your PJ's all day if it is just the 2 of you? Maybe dad would love to be lazy all day in his PJ's too. Have a Happy Turkey Day. Love ya.

Yay! That sounds awesome Maggs EXCEPT for the part where you are having to cook all that mess yourself. :D I know you enjoy the process more than I do but I've avoided turkey prep this long, I'm going to keep to my lucky streak!

Have a wonderfully relaxing holiday! See you when I return from the land of no computers(my m and d's)!

p.s. Twilight was delicious.

Wiley- thanks! I can't wait to hear about how your "American" thanksgiving went as well!

Shan- I don't mind the cooking, if you can believe it! I hate the cleaning up, hahaha, but I like the cooking! Have a great one yourself!

Curley- Have fun with the fam-damily and thanks for the invite!
