The 30 days of truth continue with Someone who's made my life worth living.
This is an easy one, and I know some people will say,"duh, what a cop out" but I'm going to say Mac. My son.
He's amazing. He's the future. he my great hope for all things good int he world. he's on the cusp of adulthood, ready to jump into the abyss that is life and he's made my life Cape Diem. He's everything good that is me. He's everything bad that is me. He's is own person. He has an infectious sense of humor- dry, smart, and often silly.
He thinks. He challenges. He laughs and is just generally a good person. he makes me see things differently.
There are times when I've played the game :If you could go back to any point in your life and change someone, when would it be? I know when it would be but that means I wouldn't have Mac. So no deal.
At some points in life, I've chosen paths that aren't always easy, but it they have been my choices. And even when my bad choices have affected him, he's still always smiling, loving me, and just the reason that I put one foot in front of the other.
No matter what I've done, right or wrong, it all culminates with Mac. He's my greatest accomplishment, my greatest achievement...

Fantastic post!
ReplyDeleteUnconditional love is what that's called. I know how you are feeling. I feel the same way when I see you and your brother. You two are my life's greatest achievements.
ReplyDeleteMac is even a further extension of you. He is something else!!! It makes me proud to think that he is the next generation. When I look and listen to him in action, I know that our world will be in good hands with he and others like him leading us in the future.
You have every right to be a proud Mamma!
Dad
